In the 1960's, American jeweler Henry Dankner & Sons created and patented this most unique jewel...the Living Charm. Very few of these precious treasures were ever made. Up for your consideration is a spectacular 14k yellow gold Horse Racing charm. The base contains a stem wind mechanism. It winds up like a watch, and the horses with enameled jockeys actually race each other in motion, as their front legs raise and lower, and make a clicking noise until it unwinds. Enamel is intact. The charm is enhanced by two 3mm natural sapphires and two 3mm purplish red natural rubies. Hallmarked Dankner 14K Gold Pat. No. 3247683. Some scratches on the bottom from previous use. This rare collectible charm is in very good vintage condition and fully functional.
