This is a fabulous handwoven 14k gold Nantucket basket vintage charm/pendant. The basket finished with a swing handle and the lid opens and closes securely. The lid of the basket is ornamented with an oval Scrimshaw insert depicting a ship. Opens to reveal a miniature replica of a penny. The 14k Lucky mini penny will never get lost, since it is attached to the basket with a slender chain. Inside of the basket inscribed: "I'M A TINY NANTUCKET BASKET HAND WOVEN AND STOUT DON'T LOSE ME OR ABUSE ME AND I'LL NEVER WEAR OUT". Marked American Scrimshaw 14k. It is in excellent condition.
