This is a gorgeous handwoven 14k gold Nantucket basket charm/pendant. The basket finished with a swing handle and the lid opens and closes securely. The lid of the basket is ornamented with an oval Scrimshaw insert depicting Ship and Lighthouse. Inside of the basket inscribed: "I'M A TINY NANTUCKET BASKET HAND WOVEN AND STOUT DON'T LOSE ME OR ABUSE ME AND I'LL NEVER WEAR OUT". Basket with handle measures 15/16" x 7/8" x 11/16" (22.5mm x 23.5mm x 17.5mm) without bale and weighs 6.2 grams. Bottom marked 14K American Scrimshaw BG 00. It is in excellent condition.
